A trained singer of Indian Idol-2  fame ,music director and a performer par excellence Ravi Tripathi was the  only Indian artist to have been invited to perform and represent India with his group comprising of 4500 dancers and artists  at the closing ceremony of Asian Games 2010 , Guangzhou-China in front of a 500,000 audience at the stadium . It was one of the greatest extravaganzas of the entertainment industry’s history. As per China-Central Tv record it was viewed by more than 50 million people across the globe .

Ravi has also sung in an  Akshay Kumar starrer film Chandni Chowk To China . He has recorded more than 1600 songs for various projects like private albums , devotional songs ,tv serial ‘s title songs & jingles. His debut album Baatein {Times Music } was penned by ace lyricist Nida Fazli  & launched by Ravi ‘s guru Suresh Wadkar ,Ravindra Jain , Late Jagjeet Singh and Sonu Nigam .

As a music-director Ravi Tripathi’s debut song ‘Mai Bharat Bol Raha Hu’ sung by Suresh Wadkar, Kailash Kher, Shaan, Ankit Tiwari,Ravi Tripathi, Mayuresh Pai, Anant Bhardwaj Lyrics-Shekhar Astitva.

Ravi Tripathi has also given music to two upcoming hindi films ‘Red Signal & Red Affair and a Marathi Film ‘Laajwanti Online.
Singer Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Suresh Wadkar, Ankit Tiwari, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Palak Muchal, Avdhoot Gupte ,Padma Wadkar, Sayli Pankaj and Ravi himself have sung in those films.

Ravi ‘s radio show -Musical Wednesday with Ravi Tripathi was very popular on Fever104 FM .

Ravi has performed in more than 1600 stage shows in India and across the world . In 2009 he performed along with Hollywood star Jackie Chan at the Countdown show held in China.

Ravi has also hosted a music based reality show Close-up Performer for National Channel DD-1,Mera Bhi Naam Hoga -APN NEWS & an upcoming show ‘TIHAR IDOLS ‘ on national Tv.
